Members of the WLD are convening at Dream Dinners to prepare 100 homemade meals that we will distribute to families in need in our community.

When President Obama took office, two-thirds of his top aides were men. Women complained of having to elbow their way into important meetings. And when they got in, their voices were sometimes ignored.

In examining what women leaders have in common, a researcher found that simple family dinner-table conversations played a large role in finding one's voice and inner confidence.

Each year, the IndyBar Women and the Law Division presents the Antoinette Dakin Leach Award to recognize the accomplishments of a female attorney in central Indiana. The award is named in honor of Antoinette Dakin Leach, one of the first women admitted to the Indiana Bar.

Women do not appear to be leaving the law disproportionally in key childbearing years or at partner promotion years. Instead, what the data reveals is a slow but consistent departure.

"Dress for success" rules are out there and everyone has an opinion. We'd like to hear it!

On June 15, the Transforming Women’s Leadership in the Law (TWLL) hosted its second roundtable dinner event in New York City. The roundtable dinner is part of the ongoing dialogue TWLL is fostering among female executives in both corporation legal departments and law firms to discuss their perspectives on women advancing in the legal industry and the challenges they face moving forward.
