Estate Planning & Administration Section Mission

The mission of the section is to promote the objects of the Association within the fields of estate planning and administration and other fields, such as trusts and guardianships, falling within the ambit of Indiana's Probate and Trust Codes and related legislation. To that end, it is the purpose of this Section: (1) to concern itself with every aspect of estate planning and estate, trust, and guardianship administration; (2) to study, report upon, and recommend improvements to legislation, whether Federal or State, pertaining to the Section's concerns; (3) to bring together members of the Association interested in estate planning and the administration of estates, trusts, and guardianships and to confer upon the various problems incurred in these areas; (4) to promote the legal education of members of the Association and the public by sponsoring meetings, institutes, and conferences and by preparing and publishing articles concerning estate planning and estate, trust and guardianship administration, and (5) to work closely with the Marion Superior Court, Probate Division, in improving estate, trust, and guardianship procedures.
