Join the Indianapolis Bar Association & Indianapolis Bar Foundation as a Marketing & Event Communications Coordinator and gain hands-on experience promoting meaningful programs, major events, and community initiatives in the heart of Indianapolis.
This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build experience in digital marketing, event promotion, branding, communications, analytics, and community engagement while working alongside experienced mentors.
What You’ll Do
As part of our Marketing & Communications team, you’ll help bring campaigns and events to life through creative marketing and strong organization.
Marketing & Communications
- Create and schedule content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, email, and more
- Help execute marketing campaigns that increase awareness and engagement
- Maintain and update website content
- Assist with branding and messaging across platforms
- Support email marketing campaigns and promotions
Events & Community Engagement
- Promote exciting events including conferences, fundraisers, networking programs, and celebrations
- Help coordinate timelines, communications, and logistics for events
- Engage with members and attendees online and in person
- Support community-focused programs and member initiatives
Analytics & Growth
- Track social media, website, and email performance
- Help identify ideas to grow membership and audience engagement
- Learn how data informs marketing strategy

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or graduating soon) in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field
- Internship, campus leadership, freelance, or entry-level experience in marketing or events is a plus
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable using social media platforms professionally
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools is helpful

Compensation Package
- 2026 Salary: $50,000-$55,000 (please don't apply if salary requirements are higher in calendar year 2026)
- Employer paid health ($250 deductible), life, vision, and dental insurance with premium fully paid for the employee
- Work week (37.5 hours) - Typical schedule: Monday thru Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with additional hours negotiable
- 401(k) retirement plan with participation after only 2.5 months of employment
- Professional development conference opportunities
- $135 monthly stipend to assist with commuting, parking, and phone costs
- Up to 13 Days Annual Personal/Vacation Leave in the first year (increases after Year 1)
- 4 Days Annual Sick Leave upon hire
- Paid Holidays: New Years Day, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve
- Anniversary Bonus: $100 cash for each year of employment on anniversary
