Interest Groups

IndyBar offers its members more than 20 interest groups representing both practice areas (Sections) and demographics (Divisions), in addition to various committees that make a wide spectrum of IndyBar initiatives, programs and day-to-day association operations possible. Membership in sections and divisions and involvement on committees offers invaluable opportunities for networking, practice development and education.

IndyBar Sections

Sections within the Indianapolis Bar Association represent 18 areas of practice. Sections plan and present continuing education programs, spearhead initiatives in both the legal community and beyond, provide resources and information for their section members, and offer mentoring/practice support and much more. All sections are led by an executive committee of member volunteers in the related practice area and are guided by unique bylaws adopted by each group's leadership.

Section affiliation is open as an add on service to all IndyBar members at a rate of $50 per group for basic services or $75 per group for Plus CLE membership, which includes two one-hour "brown bag" CLE programs at no additional cost.
