Former football players from Northern Illinois University and Indiana University brought suit against fantasy sports websites FanDuel and DraftKings for using their likenesses without consent. After the district court dismissed the case, the 7th Circuit asked the Indiana Supreme Court to rule because of the lack of developed case law surrounding Indiana’s right of publicity statute with regards to sports.

In November 2017, eight men were indicted following an FBI investigation into fraud and corruption in men’s college basketball. Last week, charges were dropped against one of the men, a former AAU director, but U.S. District Court Judge Lewis A. Kaplan denied a motion to dismiss criminal charges against two Adidas executives and a former sports agent.

Warner Bros. is severing ties with Brett Ratner amid multiple sexual harassment claims made against the producer and director.

A person familiar with the decision said Wednesday that Ratner's expired first-look production deal with the studio will not be renewed and that he will no longer occupy the office space he rented on the company's lot in Burbank, Calif. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.
