This year, our state is turning the big 2-0-0! On December 11, 1816, Indiana became a state. You might have noticed the many activities that have been advertised over this year celebrating our statehood!

According to The Salt Lake Tribune, “[T]he Utah Supreme Court has approved the creation of a new legal profession: limited paralegal practitioners. An LPP, or paraprofessional, will have more training and responsibilities than a normal paralegal, but is not quite a lawyer. The paraprofessional will be able to help the public in those areas where Utahns generally aren’t hiring lawyers.”

No, I am not talking football (although I absolutely LOVE football). This is about history in the making. In November, 68 days from today, voters across our Nation will take part in the 58th election of the President of the United States of America.

Congratulations to the award recipients and newly-elected officers and directors, some of which are members of the Indianapolis Bar Association.
