On September 10, the Indiana Supreme Court released its annual report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018. The report is full of interesting statistics, information about the court’s activities and several pictures. This post offers a few highlights.

No, the court did not "use" the poop emoji in the same way you or I would with friends and family. Rather, the court reproduced the poop emoji in a quote posted by one of the litigants to a Facebook group.

When she gives talks to various groups, she is given the rock star treatment. She takes this all in humble stride, but even she thinks getting a tattoo of her face might be taking it a little too far.

Six of the 12 applicants who applied to fill an upcoming vacancy on the Indiana Court of Appeals have been selected as semi-finalists who will participate in a second round of interviews later this month.

The Office of Judicial Administration recently proposed amendments to Criminal Rule 2.1 and Trial Rule 3.1 that would require cell phone numbers to be included on appearances. The Indianapolis Bar Association surveyed attorney members on this change and subsequently, through the association's board of directors, submitted comment on the proposed amendments to the Indiana Supreme Court Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure
