The Indianapolis Bar Association has submitted the following comments/statement on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana's Proposed Local Rule 87 - Representation of Indigent Litigants

The United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana has posted for public comment Proposed Local Rule 87 - Representation of Indigent Litigants. The IndyBar encourages members to study the proposed rule and, if desired, share their feedback before the comment period closes on Sunday, June 12.

Attorney Geoffrey G. Slaughter will be sworn in as an Indiana Supreme Court Justice on Monday, June 13 in a brief, private ceremony.

The Indianapolis Bar Foundation (IBF) is now collecting applications through July 1 for the 2016 Impact Fund Grant of at least $35,000, which will be awarded in mid-October 2016.
