When racial disparity and inequality came to a head in Summer 2020, it quickly became obvious that the association had a responsibility to respond and to act on the many long-standing contributing structural issues present not only throughout the country but here at home in the Indianapolis community as well.

On March 11, 2021, the Biden Administration proposed rescinding the Final Rule, as promulgated on January 7, 2021, regarding the independent contractor classification status under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The proposed Final Rule enumerated factors to determine if persons are to be classified as ICs or employees.
