Concerned about the quality of their children's education, seven families filed suit to end teacher tenure in New York. The families claim that incompetent teachers are allowed to continue to teach young children due to the rules of tenure. However, they believe that this violates the children's rights to a solid education.

This is the second suit filed against teacher tenure in New York, and the two suits may eventually be combined.
