I am hopeful that something good can and will emerge from our shared ordeal  It is with this in mind that I’m excited to announce a new social media campaign started by the Women and the Law Division Executive Committee – Find the Good. The goal of this campaign is to highlight IndyBar members who are finding good in life during this extraordinary time.

Many of our legal organizations, whether in the public or private sector, have acknowledged the benefits of having a diverse team by developing diversity commitments and taken steps to building a diverse team that more closely reflects the makeup of the clients they serve. That said, whether you are a law firm, an in-house legal team for a business, or a judge, building the right foundations for diversity within your team is important.

Undeniably, women have made great inroads into the private practice of law during my 35-year career. Yet, I believe working full time while simultaneously raising children remains a challenging hurdle to overcome.

A variety of scholarships are available to attend the 2020 IndyBar Bench Bar Conference June 18-20, 2020 at the French Lick Springs Hotel in French Lick, Indiana. IndyBar's Bench Bar Conference is Indiana's premier event to bring lawyers, judges and paralegals together for a great time and top-notch CLE programming. Scholarships funded by the Indianapolis Bar Foundation will be awarded in addition to those awarded through IndyBar sections and divisions.

Are you ready for a one-of-a-kind Bench Bar experience? Registration is now open for this year's event to be held at the French Lick Springs Resort from June 18-20! Attracting hundreds of attorneys, judicial officers and guests, attendees of the conference can receive a maximum of six hours of CLE credit (ethics included) and will be provided the absolute best access of judges to lawyers.
