Chief Judge Jane E. Magnus-Stinson today issued a General Order that suspends in-person jury trials in all divisions of the Southern District of Indiana until at least April 5, 2021. 

Progress continues on the city's new Community Justice Center, located in the Twin Aire neighborhood of Indianapolis.

The court will reconsider and/or adjust its operations procedure on December 31, 2020.

The Indiana Supreme Court handed down an Order Suspending Jury Trials statewide until March 1, 2021, citing the need for drastic measures as COVID-19 continues to surge. In-person jury trials pose an exceptional risk to everyone involved—even if every precaution is taken.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic emergency, the Warren Township Small Claims Court will be in a remote operation procedure at least until December 31, 2020

The four magistrates–Marie Kern, Tiffany Vivo, Patricia McMath and Tara Melton–have been approved by the General Term of the court.
