Ellen Pactor has joined Ogletree Deakins. She defends employers in federal and state court litigation against a variety of employment-related allegations, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. Ellen is also an Executive Committee member for IndyBar's Women and the Law Division.



Andrew Klein, former dean of Robert H. McKinney School of Law and current Interim Chancellor of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), was recently celebrated for his years of service to Indiana before departing to assume the role of Dean at Wake Forest University School of Law.


Mark Lopez Law has recently celebrated 14 years since their founding. Congratulations!


Wanzer Edwards PC recently celebrated the 12th anniversary of the founding of their firm. Congratulations!

By order of the Circuit Court Judge, the Community Justice Campus will be closed on Monday, July 17, 2023 in observance of the services for Deputy John Durm.

Deputy John Durm was killed on July 10, 2023, in the line of duty while transporting an inmate at the Community Justice Campus. You can read more on the incident here.

The Juvenile Detention Center and Juvenile Probation Intake at 25th & Keystone will be open and operational.

Each year the IU McKinney School of Law and its Alumni Association recognize graduates who have achieved success in their career and brought honor to the school through their work in the community and profession. Nominations are now being sought for the Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni Award and the Early Career Alumni Award to be awarded in late-2023.  
 
To learn more about each award, including what materials are needed, or to nominate an alumnus, click here. The nomination process is open year-round, but nominations are presently being accepted for 2023 awards. The nomination form is open throughout the year, but submissions made by the end of July will be prioritized for this year. The Indianapolis Bar Association mourns the passing of Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy John Durm who was killed on July 10, 2023, in the line of duty while transporting an inmate at the Community Justice Campus. To the Durm family, we send thoughts for peace and comfort. We are sincerely grateful for the service of Deputy Durm and the many members of the Marion County Sheriff's Department who selflessly safeguard those working and visiting the Community Justice Campus every day.
