The Marion County Judicial Selection Committee (MCJSC) conducted interviews of the incumbent trial court judges seeking retention on March 12-13. The 14-member MCJSC was established by the Indiana General Assembly in 2017 and is chaired by Indiana Supreme Court Justice Mark Massa.

Electronic filing is now available in the Fishers City Court. On Tuesday, May 1, e-filing will be mandatory for attorneys in this court for all subsequent and initial filings in case types that allow it.

The Honorable Jane E. Magnus-Stinson, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, is pleased to announce that Doris L. Pryor today began her duties as United States Magistrate Judge. Judge Pryor fills the vacancy created by the untimely death of Magistrate Judge Denise K. LaRue, who passed away on August 2, 2017.

The Marion County Superior Court, Juvenile Division, is seeking to hire one full-time attorney to conduct facilitation/ mediations in referred Child In Need of Services (CHINS) proceedings with the goal of achieving complete or partial resolution, including factual stipulations and ensuring that any agreements reached are reduced to writing and signed by the appropriate parties.

The Commercial Court Pilot Project submitted its mid-pilot progress report to the Indiana Supreme Court. The report, which is available online, focuses on caseload and other statistics of the project, which is designed to bring about more efficient resolution of complex business litigation.
