August is National Black Owned Business Month.  Since this is the Women in the Law Division, we thought we should share three different Black Women Owned Businesses that you can support here in the Indy area!

  1. Tea’s Me Café owned by former WNBA star Tamika Catchings, located at 140 E. 22nd Street, Suite B and at 3967 N. Illinois Street.

Tea’s Me is a tea shop that due to its popularity, now has two locations! Tea’s Me offers a variety of items as well as the expected tea including smoothies, breakfast and lunch options, as well as dessert.  Tea’s Me would be a great option to meet a friend, coworker, or acquaintance for a quick bite! Tea’s Me also has event space that can be rented for any event you may have coming up.

  1. Pure-trition, located at 1957 N. College Ave

Pure-trition has quickly become my new, healthy breakfast spot.  It is located in the vibrant Kennedy-King neighborhood in an unassuming side building.  Don’t let the façade fool you, this place is FIRE.  Pure-trition is a juice and smoothie bar, however their acai bowls are my go to!  My favorite is the peanut acai bowl, but you cannot go wrong with any of their options.  Do yourself a favor and go check them out!

  1. The Missing Brick located at 6404 Rucker Road, Suite B.

The Missing Brick will satisfy all of your pizza cravings. They are known for their unusual pizza flavors including “The Trap Pizza” featuring shrimp and crab, “The 8 Ball” featuring meatballs and spaghetti, and “El Chapo” a taco pizza.  The Missing Brick also has a great patio with drink service.  Grab a friend and head over to Missing Brick to try this pizza!
