Tentative Settlement Reached in Surfside, FL Condo Collapse - Insurance Coverage

A tentative settlement with survivors and families of the 98 people who died in the Champlain Towers condominium collapse on June 24, 2021 in Surfside, FL has been reached for $997 million. A prior settlement of $83 million went only to former unit owners. Attorneys for the parties credited Miami-Dade County Circuit Court Judge Michael A. Hanzman’s expedited schedule for the speed with which settlement was reached. Read more.
