Each year, the Women and the Law Division presents its Mentorship Award, which seeks to honor a female legal professional who has exhibited exceptional efforts to be a mentor to other women in the profession. This year, the division has selected Patricia Huber Strachan of the Office of the Indiana Attorney General as the honorable recipient.

Pat Strachan has worked with the Office of the Indiana Attorney General since 1999, and is currently a Senior Deputy Attorney General in the Administrative and Regulatory Enforcement Litigation section. Prior to that, Pat was in general private practice and served as a commissioner in the Marion Superior Court Probate Division.

Her nominator, Aleksandrina Pratt, states, “From the very first time I worked with Pat, I was struck by her intellect and how approachable and nurturing she was. She is generous with her time and advice, and her door is always open. Pat has served the State of Indiana for more than twenty years and is now a Senior Deputy Attorney General - a distinction that is hard to earn and demands not only skills as an attorney but the ability to lead and mentor others.”

Congratulations, Pat! Honor her and other outstanding female legal professionals at the WLD Mentoring Program Reception on March 22. Register online here!
