Meet: Insurance Coverage Section Chair Eric McNamar, Lewis Wagner LLP

What is the focus of your practice?
Currently, my practice predominantly consists of first party property coverage defense work. However, I also enjoy my personal injury defense work as well.

How long have you been practicing?
I have a hard time believing this, but I graduated law school 22 years ago.

How long have you been in Indy?
I grew up and Indy, and apart from college, law school and a six-year stint practicing in New York City, I have lived here my entire life.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not at work?
I love spending time with my wife, daughter and extended family, cycling, trying out new recipes on our Traeger, following IndyCar, Purdue sports, the Colts and the Reds and  trying out Indy’s local craft breweries.

What are some of your goals for the section this year and what are you most excited about for the section?
While I want to continue our section’s tradition of presenting quality, timely CLEs, I also want our section to incorporate a bit more community service. To that end, we are recruiting section members to participate in Legal Line on July 12, 2022!

Tell us about your favorite restaurant(s) in Indy.
Right now, those include Fat Dan’s, Half Liter, Hoagies & Hops, Petite Chou and about any place within biking distance.
