In the Workplace: It’s Important to Promote Yourself at Work

The Indianapolis Business Journal recently featured an article by Charlotte Westerhaus-Renfrow discussing the importance of promoting oneself at work. The article notes that women are even less likely than men to rate their performance highly in front of their peers. A study conducted by researchers at Harvard Business School and Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania found “men rate their performance 33 percent higher than equally performing women.”

Westerhaus-Renfrow gives tips not only on why it’s important to promote yourself at work, but how to do so without making the wrong impression.
