Member Spotlight: Emily Chimenti

What is your practice area and passion in the legal field?
I practice at Wilson Kehoe Winingham LLC representing persons or their families when someone has been catastrophically injured or killed. I spend a lot of my time doing medical malpractice, particularly obstetrical cases as well as trucking, product liability, and premises cases. My passion comes from wanting to help others, which I feel as lawyers we are particularly keen and adept at doing.

What is your involvement with IndyBar?
I have been involved with IndyBar for the past several years primarily in the Young Lawyers Division as well as the Women and the Law Division. Currently, I am the Women and the Law Division chair and love getting to put on programming and events that resonate with our women members and allies who join us.

What is something you're recently proud of?
I'm proud of growing a whole human, keeping my health and sanity, as well as continuing to advocate on behalf of my clients! It is a tough balance, but I am figuring it out each day.

What is your involvement outside of law?
Outside of the law, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Pete, and our son, Archie. We love to travel, go to new restaurants, and spend time outdoors.

How do you like to unwind and relax?
Currently with a newborn at home, I do not relax or unwind a lot. However, these days a sleepy baby, a glass of wine, and a good TV show help me relax.
