Gift Giving Guide for Clients and Colleagues

It's the time of year for gift giving. If you choose to give gifts to clients or colleagues, consider the following questions when deciding what to give:

• Are your gifts intended to be a nice gesture, a marketing tool or both?
• What is your budget? Modest but unique gifts can sometimes be the most memorable.
• To whom are you giving gifts? Do some clients have a policy that prohibits them from accepting gifts?
• When you're ready to start shopping, consider the following types of gifts: charitable contributions, food, desk-related decor, experiences and industry-related gifts.
