Pennsylvania Judge’s Bid To Consolidate Pandemic Litigation Rebuffed

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court held that an Allegheny County judge overstepped her authority in consolidating all future Covid-related litigation involving Erie Insurance Company in her court. This judge is one of few nationwide to have determined that business loss policies may provide coverage for Covid-related business losses due to closures under policies requiring direct physical damage.
