Michigan Marijuana Grow House Fire Damages Not Covered

Michigan insurer Conifer Insurance Company was found not to be liable for damages resulting from a fire at a marijuana grow house. The relevant policy required an automatic sprinkler system to be installed, and the reviewing court held that inspections of the property by the insurer were not sufficient to stop the insurer from relying upon the condition requiring the sprinkler system.
