On November 8, 2021, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana will both upgrade their Case Management/Electronic Case Filing Systems (CM/ECF) to the Next Generation of CM/ECF (NextGen). This upgrade will provide users with several benefits including Central Sign-On, which allows e-filing attorneys to use one PACER login and password to access any NextGen court (district, appellate, and bankruptcy) in which they practice.

“Zoombombing” was something we laughed at first, but later worried that we would be “bombed” during a serious hearing. Now, Zoom must pay for not securing their services. According to the New York Times, Zoom agreed to pay $85 million to settle a lawsuit that claimed the video-conferencing company violated the privacy of its users.

It's hard to escape news involving famous people. Even harder when there is a whole movement calling attention to a specific story. “Free Britney” is a movement that started in social media when the public learned of the pop singer's strict conservatorship. Jamie Spears, her father, has been the acting conservator of Britney’s estate, valued at around $60 million. Her father still has the role even though he stated publicly that he would step down as conservator.
