There are roughly 3.5 million brain injuries each year in America. Some get better and others don’t. It is more likely than not that individuals that suffer a traumatic brain injury are going to suffer life-long impairments. The distinction between a mild traumatic brain injury and severe is now a moniker of little relevance.

Good news!  The last remaining Indiana county without e-filing has moved into the modern age.  The last holdout among Indiana’s 92 counties—Sullivan Circuit and Superior Courts—recently announced that as of this month, voluntary e-filing will be accepted.

New policies aimed at curbing the in-flow of asylum seekers from the southern border went into effect this week, according to Reuters. The new rules require those seeking asylum in the United States and travel through a third country, to seek assistance in that third country.

A Washington, D.C. judge took his pants to get dry-cleaned at a family-owned business called Custom Cleaners. According to him, they never returned the correct pair of pants, and betrayed the "satisfaction guaranteed" sign in their store.

Over the course of the past few weeks, very substantial settlements were announced in two separate securities class action lawsuits, one involving the giant Internet company Alibaba and one involving the auto manufacturing company Fiat Chrysler. Given the size of these settlements, they are interesting in and of themselves.
