The current term of office of United States Magistrate Judge Tim A. Baker, at Indianapolis, Indiana, is due to expire on September 30, 2025. The United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana is required by law to establish a panel of citizens to consider the reappointment of the magistrate judge to a new eight-year term.

The Indianapolis Bar Association has appointed James Bell, a partner at Hoover Hull Turner LLP, as its representative on the Marion County Judicial Selection Committee. Bell succeeds Michael Gaerte of Dentons Bingham Greenebaum, who has served in the role since the committee’s formation in 2017. Read more about his appointment.
