On November 23, 2016, the Indiana Court of Appeals decided Sheetz v. Sheetz, holding that a husband is equitably estopped from rebutting the presumption that he is a child’s biological father. In doing so, the Court of Appeals, Chief Judge Vaidik, author of the majority opinion and Judge Najam, author of the dissent, dish out plenty of fodder for the parties to seek transfer to the Supreme Court on this issue.

An Indiana Supreme Court advisory group is seeking feedback regarding Internet access to court records. The 21-member Advisory Task Force on Remote Access to and Privacy of Electronic Court Records is responsible for studying best practices and policies on Internet access to court records.

In Indiana, there has been a 61.6% increase in foreign-born population. As more and more of these families became involved with Kids' Voice, we wondered if we were able to better serve them. This led to our participation in COIN (Coalition for Our Immigrant Neighbors). I thought some of what I have learned through COIN could apply to many family law practitioners as well.
