Recently, Magistrate Kim Mattingly nudged us to gather wisdom from our more seasoned attorneys while we have the chance. This reminded me that I have one of those seasoned attorneys in my own office: Kids’ Voice’s own Derelle Watson-Duvall. She will have been practicing 40 years on June 1, 2018.

The Marion County Superior Court, Juvenile Division, is seeking to hire one full-time attorney to conduct facilitation/ mediations in referred Child In Need of Services (CHINS) proceedings with the goal of achieving complete or partial resolution, including factual stipulations and ensuring that any agreements reached are reduced to writing and signed by the appropriate parties.

The Marion County Judicial Selection Committee (MCJSC) is beginning the process of selecting names to send to the Governor to fill three vacancies. The vacancies will occur when the terms for Judges Thomas Carroll, Michael Keele, and Becky Pierson-Treacy expire in 2018.

On March 12 and 13 the Marion County Judicial Selection Committee (MCJSC) will conduct interviews of the incumbent trial court judges seeking retention. The interviews will take place in Room 319 of the State House in Indianapolis. The interviews are open to the public, and the schedule is as follows.
