I am hopeful that something good can and will emerge from our shared ordeal  It is with this in mind that I’m excited to announce a new social media campaign started by the Women and the Law Division Executive Committee – Find the Good. The goal of this campaign is to highlight IndyBar members who are finding good in life during this extraordinary time.

On March 26, 2020, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency released a temporary enforcement policy in order to help the country cope with the COVID-19 pandemic. The policy is retroactive to March 13, 2020 and is an exercise of the agency’s enforcement discretion.

The CLE programming and events for this year’s Bench Bar Conference are designed to coincide with these developments, which we have coined “Bridging the Gap.” On behalf of myself and the other chairs for this year’s Bench Bar Conference, registration is now open, and we are looking forward to a phenomenal few days in beautiful French Lick from June 18-20.

As of December 26, 2019, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Generator Improvements rule was effective in the state of Indiana. This regulation, previously adopted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2016, changes some aspects of how generators of hazardous waste are required to handle, dispose of and comply with recordkeeping requirements for hazardous waste. The rule provides flexibility in some cases and imposes new requirements in others.
