The Indiana Supreme Court is adjusting rules and giving guidance to help attorneys and courts meet legal needs. The court is also making sure attorneys have more latitude to complete education requirements through distance learning as well as extending the deadline for applications to the July bar exam.

The CLE programming and events for this year’s Bench Bar Conference are designed to coincide with these developments, which we have coined “Bridging the Gap.” On behalf of myself and the other chairs for this year’s Bench Bar Conference, registration is now open, and we are looking forward to a phenomenal few days in beautiful French Lick from June 18-20.

The Criminal Justice Section is excited to be working with Teen Court again in 2020. Our executive committee is committed to service and we would like to extend an invitation for any member interested in volunteering. Teen Court is a great alternative to the juvenile justice system and helps teens who make a mistake understand how their actions have affected others, the legal process and learn from their mistakes.
