Summary

This program is not approved for CLE credit. It is a special event provided to IndyBar members at no charge.

IndyBar's HEAL committee works with Kurt Spivey, retired officer from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, to create a unique, reality-based program on workplace violence. Spivey uses his 24 years of police experience to build a presentation that forces the uncomfortable conversation of preparing for violent crises in our everyday life. By viewing this program, you can expect:

  • A brief glimpse into the history of workplace violence and active killers
  • Discuss safety policies and procedures for workplace violence
  • Improve awareness and identify warning signs
  • Introduce and discuss 'RUN – HIDE – FIGHT' concepts
  • Explore the realities of gun violence
  • Plan for violence “Outside of the Workplace”
  • Explore mental training and preparation for crisis methods
