About the Speakers:
Hon. Denise K. LaRue was appointed U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Indiana in 2011. Prior to that appointment, she practiced labor and employment law at Haskin & LaRue LLP and worked for the Indiana Civil Rights Commission.
Hon. Cale J. Bradford was appointed to the Indiana Court of Appeals by Governor Daniels in 2007. Before that appointment, he served for many years as Judge of the Marion Superior Court and also worked in private practice.
Alan A. Bouwkamp and M. Kent Newton are partners with the firm of Newton Becker Bouwkamp Pendoski PC. Bouwkamp and Newton both practice in the areas of family law and business-related litigation and are active in various bar and other community organizations.
Chuck P. Schmal is a partner with the firm of Woodard, Emhardt, Moriatry, McNett & Henry LLP. He is in the patent prosecution group and also serves as an adjunct professor at IU’s Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
Brian K. Zoeller is a partner at Cohen & Malad LLP. A certified Family Law Specialist, Zoeller practices family law and has served as a guardian ad litem. He is very active in the IndyBar and its programs. He spends a lot of time in court, so has much to share about the role of court staff.
Loretta A. Oleksy is an attorney who serves as the Deputy Director of the Indiana Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program. She is a graduate of the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
Sam M. Pollom is an attorney and CPA who currently works as a Senior Case Advisor at BGBC Partners LLP. He is a guru on trust accounts and IOLTA, which he is going to tell us about in the most interesting way possible!
Patrick J. Olmstead is the founder of his own firm, Patrick Olmstead Law LLC, where he handles a wide variety of litigation matters. He has past experience in several law firm settings and, like all of our speakers today, is active in our legal community.
Hon. Jason G. Reyome is with Marion Superior Court where he hears paternity and child support cases. He practiced with the firm of Demos & Reyome Law Office, worked in politics and for the Marion County Public Defenders.
Stephanie L. Boxell is an associate in the Business Litigation group at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP who litigates a variety of corporate shareholder and contract disputes, statutory and constitutional claims, and insurance-coverage and ERISA actions. Her practice also consistently includes pro bono work and she volunteers as a mock trial coach for a local high school.
Anne K. Ricchiuto is a partner in the Faegre Baker Daniels LLP's Business Litigation group. She represents business and public sector clients in regulatory, contract, and transactional disputes.
Greg J. Morical is the Vice President & General Counsel at Calumet Specialty Products Partners, LP (NASDAQ: CLMT), a specialty refining company headquartered in Indianapolis. The Legal Department consists of five lawyers and two support staff. Morical first went in-house in 1998 after working at Ice Miller LLP and serving as a judicial clerk.
Donald E. Morgan is Chief Litigation Counsel for the City of Indianapolis. Morgan focuses his practice on appellate advocacy and cases having important policy implications for Indianapolis and Marion County. Prior to starting with the Office of Corporation Counsel, Morgan worked as a business litigation attorney at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP.
Chris H. Hickey is managing partner at Rubin Levin PC, practicing in the areas of creditors’ rights and business litigation. She currently co-chairs the IndyBar Review Committee, and is the IndyBar’s representative to, and President-Elect of, the National Conference of Bar Presidents. She was selected as a Distinguished Barrister by the Indiana Lawyer for 2015.
John F. Kautzman is a partner at Ruckelshaus Kautzman Blackwell Bemis & Hasbrook. He practices civil and criminal litigation. He is a Past President of the IndyBar, the IndyBar’s representative and Immediate Past President to the Metropolitan Bar Caucus, and IndyBar Chair of both the Judicial Selection Task Force and Justice Center Task Force.
