12:00 PM - 1:00 PM ET
Just as Miracle on 34th Street asks us to believe in Santa Claus, attorneys are often asked to make tough judgments about a client’s capacity. In this engaging CLE, our speakers will use key moments from the classic holiday film to illustrate the challenges of representing individuals who may be suffering from diminished capacity. We’ll explore how to evaluate whether a client is able to make informed decisions, the ethical rules that govern an attorney’s responsibilities in these circumstances, and the permissible steps when capacity is in question. Don’t miss this timely program that blends holiday spirit with practical guidance on one of the most sensitive issues in legal practice.
