4:00 PM - 7:00 PM ET
It's the holiday season, and your client doesn't want to spend another minute in prison and away from their family. Come learn about ways you can help them return or stay in the community. This program will teach you about zealous sentencing advocacy that goes beyond a simple naughty/nice list of things your client has experienced. Key takeaways from this course include:
- The specifics prosecutors look for when considering a sentence modification
- The tools available when your client is found guilty and asks for a sentence modification
- The requirements when you request a modification for your client
- The community resources available for your client through the Department of Corrections
Featuring: Evan Dominguez, Marion County Public Defender; John Gallo, Marion County Prosecutor's Office; Caroline Vance, Marion County Public Defender Agency
Following the program, we'll move into the lobby for our annual holiday party where you'll be able to see old friends and make new acquaintances. To top off the night, we'll present the Gil Berry Award. (Announcing soon!) The Distinguished Leadership Award will be presented to TWO well-deserving young attorneys: Monica McCoskey with Paganelli Law Group, and Chuck Niblick with Ice Miller LLP.
We hope you'll join us for a night of learning and laughter!
Thank you to our sponsors!
