12:00 PM - 1:00 PM ET
The presenters have analyzed data from the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals to identify trends regarding the gender of attorneys arguing in those courts. The data also looks at the types of cases, clients, and workplaces to identify other trends in this area. As there is currently no analysis on this type of information on a statewide level, this event provides a unique chance to consider potential changes that should be made to help diminish the gender gap among appellate attorneys. You won't want to miss this one.
Featuring: Hon. Amy St. Eve, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit; Jamie B. Luguri, Munger Tolles & Olson LLP

COVID-19. While choosing to participate in events held or sponsored by the Indianapolis Bar Association and/or Foundation (IndyBar), consistent with CDC guidelines, participants are encouraged to practice hand hygiene and social distancing to reduce the risks of exposure to COVID-19. Because COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is spread mainly from person-to-person contact, the IndyBar has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, including requiring masks in large, indoor group settings except when eating or drinking. Even so, the IndyBar cannot guarantee that its participants, volunteers, sponsors or others in attendance will not become infected with COVID-19. Also, in keeping with CDC recommendations, those eligible are encouraged to receive the vaccine to support the health and well-being of the general public.
Participants, volunteers and sponsors agree to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (symptoms typically include fever, cough, and shortness of breath) and contact the IndyBar at iba@indybar.org if experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days after participating or volunteering with the IndyBar.
