Scholarships funded by the Indianapolis Bar Foundation will be awarded in addition to those awarded through IndyBar sections and divisions.

For the third time, Massachusetts General Hospital has settled a lawsuit asserting that the hospital was overbilling for a surgeon’s simultaneous oversight of multiple surgical procedures. The hospital, a Harvard-affiliated teaching hospital, routinely double-booked surgeries to be overseen by the same surgeon resulting in overbilling for the procedures and keeping patients under anesthesia for prolonged periods of time because its surgeons were alternating between procedures in dual operating rooms.

A motorcyclist who lost his leg in a collision with an Amazon delivery truck has filed a lawsuit asserting that Amazon’s corporate policies are creating unsafe demands on its drivers. The lawsuit alleges that Amazon supplies GPS navigation devices to map out their delivery routes and it was an Amazon driver focusing on the GPS navigation device instead of watching the road that led to the collision that caused a motorcyclist to lose his leg.
