It is nice to see there may be a light at the end of the tunnel as downtown employers begin to bring employees back to the office.  Nothing could be more important to the downtown economy, than to have office workers return in person and support small businesses like restaurants and retail shops

The City of Indianapolis has worked over the past year to update its Infill Housing Guidelines, which serve as a design guide for new home construction in existing neighborhoods.  The previous version had not been updated since 1993.

As anyone trying to buy a house in 2021 knows: demand is high, supply is low, competition is fierce and it seems like people have lost their minds. With inventory scarce for existing homes, you might think this is the perfect scenario for homebuilders to ramp up supply. Unfortunately, new home construction has its own set of challenges adding to the headache.

A selection committee acting on behalf of the Indianapolis Bar Association and the Foundation has announced the selection of Chief Judge Tanya Walton Pratt of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana as a recipient of the IndyBar's prestigious Luminary Award of Excellence. Chief Judge Pratt will be honored at the 2021 IndyBar Bench Bar Conference in Louisville, Kentucky on June 19.

Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. Under the dynamic leadership of IndyBar President Jimmie McMillian, we're celebrating Juneteenth at Bench Bar to bring awareness to our members about this significant piece of history. More importantly, the Juneteenth workshop session will highlight and recognize the experiences and significant contributions that Black attorneys have made to our legal community.
