The Indiana Supreme Court Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure has posted four proposed rule amendments online for public comment.

On Saturday, March 20, 2021, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana came under the leadership of a new chief judge, the Honorable Tanya Walton Pratt. She succeeds Judge Jane E. Magnus-Stinson. Chief Judge Pratt is the first person of color to serve as the Southern District of Indiana's chief judge, and the tenth chief judge in the court's history.

Following oral argument discussing Taylor Swift’s successful lawsuit seeking only $1 in damages, the U.S. Supreme Court this week held that a plaintiff’s demand for nominal damages, as little as $1, satisfies the redressability element for Article III standing where his or her claim is based on a completed violation of a legal right.
