IndyBar has a volunteer opportunity just for you to benefit the entire Indianapolis community through our partnership with CHIP (Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention). CHIP publishes a Handbook of Help once a year to distribute resources to individuals in Marion County and surrounding areas experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness. Resources include shelters, mental health and substance abuse assistance, senior services, and more. This will be IndyBar's third year assisting CHIP to ensure that information contained in the Handbook of Help is up-to-date, inclusive of all services in the Indianapolis area, and the distribution has surpassed 12,000 hard copies in addition to the electronic version.

Project timeline runs from late August thru early November with the bulk of the work conducted independently. There are three in-person (or Zoom) meetings during the lunch hour that are presently scheduled for the following 2023 dates: August 25, September 29 and November 3. In-person meetings include attorney liaisons who can assist you with questions as well as build your network. Past participants have indicated the total time commitment between 20-30 hours and all service hours qualify as pro bono.
