The United States Patent and Trademark Office has announced a new trademark rule requiring foreign-domiciled applicants and registrants to have a U.S.-licensed attorney. The hope is the change will decrease the filing of overbroad goods and services identifications as well as the current flood of doctored specimens of use. See more here.
