The Hon. Sheila Carlisle of the Marion Superior Court has announced her retirement effective December 31, 2022.  A former member of the court's executive committee, Judge Carlisle has served on the criminal division bench since 2001.


The Hon. Steven Eichholtz of the Marion Superior Court has announced his retirement which is also effective December 31, 2022. First appointed to the bench in 1991, Judge Eichholtz has served in the civil division and probate courts and has also been a member of the court's executive committee.


It has been announced that the Hon. David Certo will be the new judge in Marion Probate Court, effective January 1, 2023.  Judge Certo has been a Marion Superior Court Judge since 2007, most recently in Veteran's Court.


Terrance Tharpe has been appointed as a Magistrate Judge for the Marion Superior Court. Terrance is currently Chief Trial Deputy with the Marion County Prosecutor's Office.


Sara Blevins
has joined the legal department of Cummins, Inc. as Labor and Employment Counsel.  Sara had spent her entire 18-year career at Lewis Kappes.

Lee Christie was elected to serve as the District 2 representative to the Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission. His three-year term begins January 1, 2023.
