Oh, Elon! What Can’t You Do?

I know people that quit Twitter after Elon Musk announced his intent and offer to buy the social media company. For whatever reason, this is a story that has captured a few minutes out of my week since it came out. The deal was almost done and like a bad M. Night Shyamalan script, the extremely predictable twist came. A lawsuit was filed by Twitter to force the sale and now the world knows what Litigation attorneys do: mostly motion work. Seriously though, in a recent article by The New York Times, attorneys for Musk opposed a request by Twitter’s attorneys for a four-day jury trial in September. Musk’s legal team opposed the setting by arguing that “Twitter was trying to ‘rush the truth’ over face accounts.” Apparently, the number of face accounts bothered Musk to the point of souring the deal. 

The article is a quick, entertaining read, even if you have not kept up with the saga. Although, it may lead to clicking on the other articles for the heated and very public back and forth. In that case, grab your favorite snack to head down the rabbit hole. Do this, of course, after you plug in your Tesla.
