Tax Subsidies Invalidated in Indiana, Derails Obamacare - Health Care and Life Sciences News

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruled that participants in health exchanges run by the government are not eligible for tax subsidies in 34 states. One of those states is Indiana.  This ruling could devastate the health care framework put in place by President Obama's health care law and leave five million people who receive subsidies unable to afford health insurance. According to the AP, the White House says that health subsidies under the Affordable Care Act will continue despite the ruling for the time being. Read more here.
