Proposed Rule Amendments Available for Public Comment - Litigation News

The Indiana Supreme Court seeks public comment on the following proposed amendments to the Indiana Rules of Court.

Judicial Conduct Rules
The proposed amendment to Code of Judicial Conduct Rule 2.17 would give trial court judges discretion to allow news media to broadcast, televise, record, and photograph court proceedings.

Tax Court Rules
The proposed amendments to Tax Court Rules 5 and 16 clarify and ensure that local assessing officials who are named as respondents in original tax appeals retain their own counsel.

Trial Rules
The proposed amendment to Trial Rule 60(B) would clarify relief from judgment or order is limited to final judgments or orders and judgments by default that do not adjudicate damages.
