Student volunteers are needed for multiple upcoming projects and events! See below for details.

Volunteers Needed for Annual CHIP Handbook of Help Update
The IndyBar is seeking student volunteers to assist in a partnership between the IndyBar and CHIP (Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention). CHIP publishes a Handbook of Help once a year in order to disseminate resources to those in Marion County and surrounding areas who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Resources range from shelters to mental health and substance abuse assistance to senior services. The IndyBar is joining them in their effort again this year to ensure that information contained in the Handbook of Help is up-to-date and inclusive of all services in the Indianapolis area.

The project timeline runs from late August - October with the bulk of the work conducted independently. Meetings are conducted over Zoom during the lunch hour and are presently scheduled for the following 2022 dates: August 26, September 30 and October 21. Past participants have indicated the total time commitment is between 20-30 hours and all service hours qualify as pro bono. If interested, please contact Brittany Kelly at brittglaze90@gmail.com.

Shadow Attorneys Providing Free Legal Advice at Legal Line
Gain valuable experience you can’t learn in a classroom setting by volunteering at the next IndyBar Legal Line! Students will shadow IndyBar attorney members providing free legal advice to citizens of Indianapolis over the phone. The Legal Line event is August 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at IndyBarHQ, and you can fill out this form to volunteer.

Volunteers Needed for Indianapolis Bar Foundation Fundraising Events
Help raise funds for the Indianapolis Bar Foundation! Student volunteers are needed at two upcoming IndyBar Foundation events. On July 21, the IBF will be hosting its annual Lawyer Links Classic Golf Outing. Students are also needed at the IndyBar Law Prom dinner event on September 30. If you'd like to volunteer for either event, contact Kari Hartman.
