Earlier this year, Governor Eric Holcomb signed into law amendments to the Indiana Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) addressing a limited set of transactions involving certain types of digital assets. The amendments revise Article 9 (Secured Transactions) and add an entirely new Article 11 (Controllable Electronic Records). The amendments take effect July 1, 2022 and additional amendments are expected in 2023.
