In three separate lawsuits, the Right to Farm Act prevailed in Randolph County. This article by the Indiana Law Blog explains the cases and what this means for the state. Basically, even if a farming operation goes from a crop field to a hog den, nuisance claims from neighbors stand little chance in court. There have been efforts to have the Right to Farm Act added to the Indiana Constitution, as the proetction of farmers' rights remains a priority in such instances.
