Libby Moyer is originally from Argos, Indiana. She graduated summa cum laude from Butler University with a degree in political science where she was involved in the Student Government Association and Kappa Kappa Gamma. She graduated cum laude from Notre Dame Law School in May 2021. While at law school, Libby was a note editor for the Journal of International & Comparative Law, co-chair for the Student Bar Association Diversity and Inclusion Committee and an active member of the LGBT Law Forum. She also externed for Judge Ellis in the United States District Court in the Northern District of Illinois, Indiana Legal Services as well as the City of South Bend Legal Department.
Libby is a litigation associate at Ice Miller LLP in Indianapolis. She was the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Scholar at the firm her 1L summer and has been with the firm since then. At the firm, she is a member of the Pride CLE planning committee and the Diverse Attorney, Principal and Patent Agent (DAPPA) network.
With the Indianapolis Bar Association, Libby is a member of the Women and the Law Division Executive Committee where she serves as Diversity and Inclusion chair. She is also a member of the Young Lawyers Division Executive Committee. She is excited to connect with other young lawyers and develop a community in Indianapolis this year.
Outside of work, Libby is a volunteer with Indiana Youth Group, an organization that advocates for and provides safe spaces to young people ages 12-24 who self-identify as LGBTQ+, as well as their allies. She also enjoys hot yoga, trying Moscow mules at all the local spots, and watching reality TV with her cat, Leslie.
