Family Law Tip of the Week: New Divorce Filings Should be Opened Soon!

REMINDER: New divorce filings should be opened soon if your client wants resolution before 12/31!  We are coming into the holiday season in more ways than one – Marion Co. courts are observing holidays on:

Election Day, November 6
Veteran's Day, November 12
Thanksgiving, noon on November 21 through November 23
Christmas Eve, December 24
Christmas Day, December 25
New Year’s Eve, December 31
New Year's Day, January 1

Many judicial officers (and court staff) will be burning their unused days off during this time as well, so plan ahead.
