HHS Seeks Comment on Stark and AKS Reform

The Deputy Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently testified before congress that HHS is reviewing both the Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS) in order to remove some “regulatory barriers” that burden providers. Comments are due August 24 to the Stark Law Request for Information, and another request for AKS comments should be coming soon from HHS. Read more here.
